Q. 49 Where is Christ now?
A. Christ rose bodily from the grave on the third day after his death and is seated at the right hand of the
Father, ruling his kingdom and interceding for us, until he returns to judge and renew the whole world.
[Ephesians 1:20-21, Hebrews 10:11-13, Romans 8:34]

Psalm 90

Prayer:

Merciful Heavenly Father, we praise you this morning for your great works in heaven and on earth. Before the
mountains were brought forth, before you formed the earth, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. You
made man from the dust of the earth and you return him there. Teach us then, to number our days that we
may get a heart of wisdom. Cause us to be thankful for the life you have granted to us and for every day we
have. Renew in us the joy of our salvation that we have in Christ Jesus. For though we know that it is
appointed for man once to die, then the judgment, through Christ we have been freed from the fear of death
and judgment. Yet, help us to live in light of these truths; that our days of upon this earth as it is now are few.
And we desire to live in a way that honors and glorifies you. We ask then that you would establish the work of
our hands. Whatever work you have placed before us, the work of nurturing and training our children, the
work of honoring our father and mother, the work of loving our brothers and sisters in the faith, the work of
serving others, even the work of stewarding our resources, in all of these things we ask for your favor and
blessing. May we do them all in love and faith, we pray in the name of Christ Jesus our Savior, who is seated at
your right hand and intercedes on our behalf. Amen.
